The photo series is comprised of different make-believe magazine covers that celebrate Asian women’ achievements. It’s a satirical piece that aims to demonstrate the lack of Asian representation in media.

Representation matters because it symbolizes inclusivity and acceptance. Media has the power to influence the way we see ourselves and each other, thus the lack of diversity in media results a problem of self-esteem from racial or gender groups that are underrepresented. The bottom line is that Asian-American women’s success should be recognized and not overlooked.
