Mass-Shooting Calendar
Mass-shootings are one of the most critical problems in the United States right now. We constantly see incidents reported in the media. How many of these shootings take place in a year? My curiosity got me digging and according to my research, the answer is too many. This calendar displays the number of mass-shootings in 2016 using bullet-sized holes pierced onto dates that mass-shootings occurred.

The calendar includes a key on the bottom that allows the viewer to see the number of mass-shooting deaths that occurred on that particular day. For example, the Orlando nightclub shooting took place on June 12, 2016. The multiple rings around that date represent the 49 deaths from the shooting. The calendar was created at the end of September 2016, therefore we’re missing the stats for the last three months.
